I just found out there are two Kasumigaseki Station, one in Tokyo and one in Saitama, Which one should I go to?

Kasumigaseki Station in Saitama prefecture is the correct station.

What would be the best way to reach your venue?

If you are coming from Tokyo, we highly recommend you take the Tobu Tojo Line from Ikebukuro. For further information, please refer to the Access page.

Do you provide accommodation for participants?

Unfortunately we cannot provide accommodation for this conference. However, we do offer suggestions at the Accomodation section. You can also contact us using the link below for any specific inquiry.

Do you provide pickup service?

Yes! We do offer pickup service for participants arriving at Kawagoe Station and Kasumigaseki Station, Saitama. Please Click Here to request a pickup at the bottom of the page.

Does TIUMUN provide meals for those with special dietary needs? (Halal, vegetarian, allergies, etc.)

Yes, we do! Please indicate your specific need(s) when signing up.

How many committees will you have?

We have TWO committees, the World Trade Organisation and the UN General Assembly. Please refer to our Committees page when it is available for more information.

How long is the application period open? Will we have any discount if we apply early?

We will officially OPEN the registration on February 15th and CLOSE it on March 25th, so mark the date and do not miss it! As for discounts, the early bird catches the worm. Applicants applying during the early bird period will enjoy numerous benefit such as discounts and priority check-in among others. Please refer to our Apply page for more information.

Are you open for chairing application?

Chairing application is not available this year. We will consider this in the future!


How can I pay for the conference?

We only accept bank transfers for the moment. The account information will be delivered to your registered email once we confirmed your application submission. Please refer to our Apply page for detailed information.

Do you provide any financial aid?

Unfortunately, we do not. Our conference is a non-profit event without sponsorship. Therefore, we do not possess any financial surplus that can be used for financial aid.

What should I do if I have an emergency and could not attend the conference? Is there any way for me to cancel and get a refund?

That is very unfortunate! We accept your notice of cancellation ONE WEEK before the conference AT THE LATEST. Only 50% of your participation fee will be returned.

Will there be awards for delegates?

Yes, there are! At MUN@TIU 2019, we offer three awards: (1) best delegate, (2) outstanding delegate, and (3) best position paper. However, the awards stated here are subject to change by the Dais. Please keep this information in mind.

Can I join as an observer?

Of course! We welcome all participants to our conference whether as a delegate or an observer. For more information, please refer to the Apply page. To apply as an observer, please send us a message using the Contact Us form below.

I live outside of Japan; can I participate in the conference?

We welcome all MUN enthusiasts from all corners of the world to MUN@TIU. However, please consider the VISA application process if you are from a country that requires a VISA to visit Japan. See Here

Due to legal reasons, TIUMUN cannot provide official document to aid you with your VISA process. We are sorry for the inconvenience this might cause.

I am a high school student; can I participate in the conference?

High school is the time for new experiences, and MUN@TIU is one of them. We wholeheartedly encourage high school students to take part in our conference. However, please ensure that you will be attending with an adult supervision.
